There's nothing that doesn't upset me about the demise of Maudlin, once one of Brisbane's best performing bands that I was fortunate enough to witness during the months of cautious alliance I had with Rics Bar while Andy worked there in 07.
They released a demo (Ruby) and an EP (Sumire), but their oft-promised full-length album (working title was Thin Shards) never eventuated. To my happy surprise though, an unfinished copy of this recording, titled Flicker as They Fade, has fallen into my possession. Out of sheer appreciation, I'm compelled to share this with as many people as possible.
Below is a sample track and a link to their myspace profile which includes six full downloadable songs. Those interested in a copy of the full recording are welcome to contact me or the band whom I'm sure will be happy to share.
